Ric Ocasek

Ric Ocasek walks into Virgin Megastore and heads over to the new release section and is standing right next to me.

Bronques: Are you Ric?

Ric: Yes...

Bronques: Hi, my name is Bronques.

Ric: You take photos in Miami right?

Bronques: Uh, yeah... wow... everywhere... but mostly New York. You know my website?

Ric: Yeah, I read about it in Ocean Drive Magazine. One of my friends sends me a bunch of those magazines every month. You take good pictures. Very good composition and framing.

Bronques: Thanks... Are you a photographer too?

Ric: Yeah, I used to take photos all the time with a Leica M6. I even had a book of poetry and photographs out called "Negative Theatre". You can't get it anymore though...

Bronques: That's so cool. I didn't know... Have you ever seen my book?

Ric: No. You have a book?

Bronques: Yeah, I'll show you. (grabs book from shelf nearby)

Ric: Wow. This is cool. I have to get this. I have to support local talent you know... (grabs Rilo Kiley's new album and goes to the cash to buy the book and CD)

Bronques: I loved the stuff you did with Weezer! What are you doing these days?

Ric: Well, I produced Motion City Sountrack and now I'm just working on my stuff.

Bronques: The Cars or Ric Ocasek?

Ric: Just me.

Bronques: Wow, I can't wait to hear it.
